Watching professional golf makes you realize the drastic gap between the pros and amateurs.
Still, sometimes on the game's biggest stage, there are moments that humanize golfers, and they go from looking like they are capable of playing in the Masters to looking like they could get kicked off their local municipal course.
The 2026 Masters had an early one of these moments when Jon Rahm three-putted from three feet out. The worst (best?) moment came in the final round on Sunday. Haotong Li, who had played well enough all week to still be alive in the competition in the final round, registered a quintuple bogey on the 13th hole.
Li put down a 10 on the par-5, and once you see his shot chart, it makes sense, but also is ammunition for anyone who thinks "well, I could do better than that."

Haotong Li scores 10 at Masters 13th hole
Li was coming off a triple bogey on No. 12. He had been playing relatively well on Sunday before that hole, sitting at even par through the first 11 holes. Then Li had the triple bogey on the par-three and moved to 3-over for the day. His luck did not improve on lucky hole No. 13 and Amen's Corner got the best of him and some.
Li's tee shot on 13 went left and wound up in the woods. While some players in the tournament have had their balls hit trees and have been saved from misery with their ball winding up in the fairway, he wasn't one of them. Li was in the thick of the woods for his shot, and when you see the lie of his ball, it is almost a miracle that he even found his shot.
He may have wished he hadn't. His next shot hit a tree and wasn't much better than his second. It looked like Li dealt with the worst of it, and his third shot was just to the left of the green.
Unfortunately, it wasn't smooth sailing for him. He put his fourth shot past the green on the other side and it went into the water for a penalty. His next shot went back across the green to where he was before the water. Li kept his eighth shot on the green, but then still took enough putts that it wasn't until his 10th shot on the scorecard that he finished the hole.
Many people would experience this and would give up. Adding eight strokes to your score in a matter of two holes? Game over. Not for Li. He had to finish the round and he kept his head held high and to add to the lore and majesty of this stretch, he birdied the 14th hole immediately after his quintuple bogey.
