The Logansport Berry gymnasts continued their momentum and posted their highest team score of the season of 93.2 Wednesday night at the LHS barn.

Adrienne Scott led the team with a career-high all-around score of 31.4. She competed new skills on bars to help the team score their highest bar rotation of the season.

She scored a career-high 7.45 on bars, 8.2 on vault, 7.35 on beam and an 8.45 on floor.

Scott is more known for her exploits on the softball field and volleyball court for the Berries, but she’s posting a big senior season in gymnastics as well.

“She works really hard and I am extremely proud of her accomplishments this season,” Logansport coach Jaime Descoteaux said. “She will be a big contributor for us in the sectional.”

Senior Bella Walker had another solid meet as well. She finished the meet with an all-around score of 30.05. She had an 8.1 on vault, 6.45 on bars, 7.45 on beam and an 8.05 on floor.

Freshman Jentry Strong was the Berries’ other all-around gymnast finishing with a 29.0. She posted an 8.1 om vault, 5.5 on bars, 7.45 on beam and 7.95 on floor.

“She has really had a consistent season for only being a freshman and will definitely help us at sectionals,” Descoteaux said. “Another consistent gymnast this season is Amilia Zaragoza. We know that we can count on her on beam and vault.”

Zaragoza, a junior, had an 8.3 on vault and a 7.3 on the beam.

Senior Rylee Zimmerman finished second on floor with a 9.15. She added an 8.5 on vault and 8.1 on beam.

“We look for her to compete all-around by adding a bar routine which will continue to improve the team score,” Descoteaux said.

Junior Lucy Gordon added an 8.1 on vault, 5.25 on bars and an 8.05 on the beam.

“She was able to get her kip on the bars during the meet which was a great accomplishment for her,” Descoteaux said.

Senior Reese Rennewanz competed on beam (6.8) and floor (7.95).

“Her floor routine has improved a lot from the start of the season,” Descoteaux said.

Senior Tatianna Jones was able to come back from a recent injury and compete on JV. She won the vault competition with an 8.2 and scored her career high on the bars with a 5.4.

Also returning from injuries and competing for JV were freshmen Chloe Wicker and Lilly Hankins. Wicker finished third on beam (6.9). Hankins placed third on bars (5.55).

“I look for both of these girls to compete some varsity for us next season,” Descoteaux said.

The Berries host their final invitational of the regular season this Saturday at 11 a.m. The Harrison Sectional is set for Feb. 28.
