What the Cleveland Guardians need ahead of the trade deadline has been well documented: it's more offense.
However, which teams could the Guardians strike a deal with to add more bats to the lineup?
The Guardians need more offense, and the San Francisco Giants have some bats that could be up for grabs before Monday's deadline.
Heliot Ramos has been a popular name tied to the Guardians, and for good reason. The outfielder has a .739 OPS this season, with a .311/.364/.525 slash line against left-handed pitchers.
Plus, Ramos is under team control through 2029, making a potential trade a multi-year endeavor.
Casey Schmidt was an intriguing option for the Guardians before his injury, but Luis Arraez and Jung Hoo Lee could also make for interesting trade candidates who would bring immediate offense to Cleveland's lineup.
Perhaps the main reason the Giants are perfect trade partners for Cleveland is that the two organizations already made a trade earlier this season. The two teams also made a trade back at the 2024 trade deadline.
Clearly, each team has been keeping tabs on the other for at least the last few years.

If Cleveland is going to get picky, what they really need is more right-handed hitters, and a trade with the Los Angeles Angels could fill that need.
The Angels have already declared themselves sellers following their trade with the Texas Rangers and have plenty of other pieces they could move.
Jo Adell, Jorge Soler, Jose Siri, and Zach Neto are all right-handed bats that would help Cleveland's woes against left-handed pitching and could be on the move if the Angels choose to have a full-on fire sale over the next few days.
One of the most intriguing trade candidates this deadline is Baltimore Orioles outfielder Taylor Ward, and the Guardians reportedly are one of the teams that have already expressed some interest in him.
Ward's potential availability alone makes the Orioles a great trade partner for the Guardians, though. However, they also have some other hitters who could still help Cleveland's lineup this season.
If the Baltimore is willing to part with someone such as Coby Mayo, Tyler O'Neill, that should interest Cleveland.
