Despite leading the Memphis Grizzlies to the 2026 NBA Summer League semifinals alongside Cedric Coward, Cameron Boozer and his new team couldn't quite seal the deal Sunday night. Golden State's Yaxel Lendeborg took over late, before a costly turnover from Olivier-Maxence Prosper with 8.6 seconds remaining put the game out of reach.
The Grizzlies fell to the Warriors 94-90, with Lendeborg earning championship game MVP honors. However, had Memphis won, Boozer would have been in consideration, scoring 19 points on 7-for-17 shooting to go along with eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. The aforementioned Coward also scored 19 for the Grizzlies.
Looking ahead to the 2026-27 campaign, Boozer will have plenty of time to improve his game this summer before opening night in late October.
