Detroit's first night NFL draft attendance record is safe. Not that we had any doubt.
Football fans turned out in droves in Green Bay for the 2025 NFL Draft on April 24, but didn't exceed the enormous crowd Detroit drew for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Green Bay hosted approximately 205,000 fans for Round 1 of the draft, according to league officials. Last year, Detroit set the record for first night attendees with 275,000 fans.
Detroit later went on to also set the overall record with more than 775,000 fans in attendance during the three-day event.
Detroit Lions President Ron Wood took a jab at Green Bay on April 21, saying there was no way Green Bay would come close to topping Detroit's record.
The draft in Detroit had mostly dry weather, with rain only at the beginning of the third day.
The expected high temperature April 24 in Green Bay was 59 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The temperature was expected to be about 50 degrees when the draft started at 8 p.m. There was a 20% chance of showers before 1 p.m. April 24 and a 30% chance after 3 a.m. into April 25.
The weather also looked good in Green Bay for April 25 and April 26 with rain expected before 4 p.m. April 25 and none April 26.
