Great Falls High state champion swimmer Duncan Schroeder recently made a splash on a regional level competing at the Western Zone Senior Championships.
Schroeder, representing the Great Falls Swim Team with the Montana All-Stars, finished second in the 50-meter butterfly at the long-course USA Swimming zones meet, according to the club’s Facebook page.

The incoming Great Falls High junior was seeded ninth in the event entering the meet on July 28-Aug. 1 in Clovis, Calif. in a field of over 200 swimmers from across the West. His finish also made the cut for USA Swimming’s TYR Futures Championships.
Great Falls High graduate and All-State swimmer Ella Kingsland was also a finalist in the 100 backstroke, per the Great Falls Swim Team post.
Schroeder won a pair of individual state titles in February as a sophomore, taking the 100-yard butterfly and 500 freestyle as the Bison finished second, and was the Tribune's Co-Boys' Athlete of the Winter Season for 2025-26 with Gage Allen of C.M. Russell High wrestling.
