The Tennessee Titans added to the running back room after all in the 2026 NFL Draft, selecting Penn State running back Nick Singleton with the No. 165 overall pick in the fifth round on April 25.

Singelton excelled at Penn State in a timeshare with Kaytron Allen, though his numbers were down in 2025 much like the entirety of the Nittany Lions' offense.

The 6-foot, 219-pound back has good size and speed. Penn State coaches spoke publicly last year about getting Singleton to trust his instincts more often with the ball, and that's something that'll need a bump up in the NFL.

Here's how the Tennessean grades the Titans' second fifth-round pick:

  • The grade: B-plus
  • Why? This is an enticing pick. Singleton didn't get heavy usage despite being a four-year contributor at Penn State (622 carries over four seasons), but he is a size-speed prospect who showed some promise as a pass catcher in 2024. He won't supplant Tony Pollard in 2026, but he should have every opportunity to earn snaps in a backup role as a rookie. His good will be very good, but how often will Titans fans see it?
