I've asked this fellow to be an outside consultant on player development and research for the Gotham Knights
Some of you may know Cedo as the manager of the Bort Stalker thread inwhich any updates or posts by Bort are kept.
I know we're all committed as a team and have no problem in boosting guys. However - if we goof up then it becomes a critical issue in our league.
During the offseason I'm going to be focusing on this items:
Player Development - as mentioned above.
Stadium Expansion - I'm gonna build another section and go heavy on the seats purchased.
Equipment Upgrades - At the beg. of this season I gave everyone $20k bonus to carry them to lvl 16. I'm gonna have to budget for lvl 24 fer a couple of players.
Team "confidence" - I've been pushing all the players (incl. backups)to get it built up to 25 avg. before going into SA's. Because the other teams are scouted higher than us...I'm hoping that confidence will help us pull some upsets.
Developing a better defensive identity (i.e. trying to find an identity) - we're lost because we can't stop the run...so we don't know if we want to be a 3-4 or 4-3, etc.
IMO - Ken has been doing a great job and will continue to do a good job as the DC.
But we're sucking at tackling and exposing ourselves with slanted game plans focusing entirely on stopping the run. During the offseason we're gonna build a def. AI base package on our teams strengths.
I have this guy I can bring over to anchor the dline: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=443618 and should make a big difference - But I'm having to pray that Bort will raise the end of season cap to like 22 to make it a reality.
Team Training - to catch up against the higher level teams (skill points - not levels)...I'm looking into making sure the players can train on normal. Again its like throwing lint at the problem...but every little bit helps.
I think we have the right mix of players and agents to at least compete for a playoff spot next year.
Considering the competition in our league...what more could I ask than to bring in someone who has been researching GLB since the beginning?
