Minnesota’s Luisamariana Mesones also competed, finishing 23rd with a 219 for a plus-6. She ended her junior season with a 4-over 75 in the final round.
“Mariana capped off a great year here in Ann Arbor,” Gophers coach Matt Higgins said in a release. “I’m really proud of her and I know she is super motivated going into next year.”
McCauley posted a 2-under 69 on Wednesday, finishing the regional with a 3-under 210. She advances to the championships on May 22-27 as one of the top two individuals not on advancing teams.
The championships will be at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
“Bella played practically flawless golf the last two days,” Higgins said in the release. “This is the third championship in four years for her. I know she is really excited to get back to La Costa and represent the Gophers.”
