It's a tradition unlike any other: Golfweek asking players about their favorite things about Augusta National Golf Club.

Players perk up when talking about the golf course. It’s a spiritual setting that warms the heart and the singular tournament that stirs the senses. The explosion of colors, the anticipation of a Sunday charge.

Ahead of this year’s Masters Tournament, we asked a host of questions, including this one: What's your favorite hole at Augusta National?

Matt Fitzpatrick

No. 7. It's an awesome golf hole. It's dead straight and the green complex is diabolical. I love it.

I love everything about Augusta National, the course asks so many great questions of your game. I’ve always had a fascination with the 12th hole. The beauty, the angles, the wind, it’s just perfect.

Zach Johnson

12. I’ve made some twos there and I know I’ve made at least one six. It’s hard. It doesn’t need to be big to be good.

Rickie Fowler

I've got to go with 12 too. My favorite area is 12 green and 13 tee. It's like a little sanctuary over there.

Adam Scott

No. 13 has always been my favorite, but I have a very, very, very soft spot for No. 10.

Larry Mize

As much as I love 11, and it’s been so good to me, I’m partial to 13. There’s so much excitement and so much can happen, both good and bad, and it is laid out perfectly.

13. I think it is the perfect hole. It’s tricky and you can make a big number, but you also can make eagle and it’s so iconic.

Harris English

It’s 13. Such a risk-reward hole. There’s no right way to play it. I like holes that do that and don’t force you into one thing. You can make an easy eagle or an easy double bogey.

Curtis Strange

No. 13 is one of the greatest par 5s in the world because it gives you options. Eagle is in play and so is double bogey. I say that even though I basically lost the tournament there in 1985.

Two-part answer, when I get to No. 4, I feel like I always play it well. I’ve stacked some 4-irons to 5 feet and made a bunch of birdies on Sundays there. But 15 to me is one of the greatest par 5s in the world. There are very few par 5s where you lay up and you’re still so nervous for the third shot. It’s such a brilliant hole.

Danny Willett

I like 15 and 16. A lot can happen in that area and you’ve got an amazing backdrop with the patrons there.

Gary Player

The 18th hole.

Jack Nicklaus

The one I’m playing at the time. I like them all.
