The cabins at Augusta National Golf Club are reserved for high-profile members and guests. Even Jack Nicklaus said he doesn't stay there. In all, the 12 buildings which provide lodging for members and their guests are called cabins, with seven forming a semicircle east of No. 10 fairway and west of the Par 3 course. The Eisenhower, Butler and Roberts Cabins are near the Clubhouse, while the Payne and Johnson-McColl Cabins are located on the Par 3 Course. The Firestone Cabin includes eight bedrooms and is a favorite of some of the pros. For the latest installment of the Golfweek/USA Today Masters Survey, we asked players to name their favorite cabin. Surprisingly, few of them have had a chance to stay there.
Just once for a social round of golf with a member. I stayed at the Eisenhower Cabin. It’s big. I think it was a few weeks prior to the Masters. It was a bit of a trip, yeah. It's a great experience. Actually twice now. I have done it once after. I once went after the Masters in May, which was neat because I've never kind of been off late in the season like that. So I have done it twice.
I’ve only stayed at the Butler Cabin, so I'm going with Butler.
I’ve stayed there only a few times and usually at the same one, the Firestone Cabin. I took a couple guests from Canada and we stayed overnight but I haven’t done that in a while.
I don't even know all their names. Yeah, the first time I played it, we stayed on the one that was closest to the 10th tee box, which was pretty cool. Just because we popped out on 10 and played the back nine when we didn't think we were going to play any. I stayed in Butler, which is really cool. Stayed overnight. Then the new ones that the sponsors have, like AT&T, has down at the bottom, down left of number 10 fairway, those are spectacular. Then they have those brand new ones on the par 3, I haven't stayed in yet, but everyone talks highly of those.
