Brayden McNabb gave everyone a scare on Thursday night.
The Vegas Golden Knights defenseman got himself in the way of an 87 MPH Carolina Hurricanes shot, except the part of McNabb that blocked the shot was his face.
Luckily, it hit his visor and wasn't a direct shot to the skull, but it still looked quite dangerous.

McNabb went down to the ice and eventually made his way down the tunnel.
He didn't return to the game, and Vegas went on to blow a late two-goal lead and lose in overtime to Carolina to even the series at a game apiece.
Not much came out about McNabb's injury overnight, but this is what we know.

Brayden McNabb injury update
McNabb was transported to a local hospital for observation, according to Reuters.
In the moment, McNabb skated himself off the ice after going down, which suggests the immediate damage wasn't massive.
Still, the decision to take McNabb to a local hospital means there was some concern.
The Golden Knights will await more news. McNabb had played 20:53 of average ice time in the playoffs before his early exit on Thursday night.
