GMC softball tournaments seeded, Sayreville top seed

The 2026 Greater Middlesex Conference Softball Tournament and GMC Invitational Tournament are being seeded Monday morning, May 11, at Spotswood High School, with Sayreville taking the top seed in the championship bracket.

Defending champ St. Thomas Aquinas, which has won six of the past seven championships, is seeded No. 2.

The GMCT will begin play on Wednesday, May 13, at the higher seeds, with the quarterfinals played Friday, May 15. Semifinals are slated for May 18 at Old Bridge, with the championship game scheduled for May 20 at East Brunswick High School.

The Invitational field begins play Tuesday, May 12, with two preliminary games, with the second round Thursday, May 14. Quarterfinals are Saturday, May 16, semis May 19 and the final on May 21 at Spotswood.
