I'm not quitting - I think it would be good to know what's on everyone's mind.

With football season on us....everyday life....and the economic crunch I'm trying to get a measure on the state of the interest level out there.

I'm only bringing this up to measure where everyone is at and if we should stay the course...possibly look into retiring players and/or merging the two teams into one.

I have enough flex points to boost all guys for two more seasons.........after that I may lose interest. Not sure.

I wouldn't mind retiring a few of mine so I can get the FP out of them and level up others as I'm not going to be spending any more cash on this game. I'll admit, my interest in it is waning.

The guys I'd definately want to keep are:

Blonsky
Parker
Grimm
Poindexter

Outside of those guys, I'll let the powers that be decide who, if any should be retired.

I don't want anyone to feel like they re being held hostage with their players.

Here is a list of guys you wouldn't mind retiring.

  • G Brick W.
  • TE Peter R.
  • DT F. Dukes
  • CB Gunner
  • FS Jim H.
  • LB F. Castle
  • OT A. Chigurgh
  • LB N. Fury
  • DE Slade W.

Folks also chime in if you want yer player moved to the czars or knights.

At this point I'm wondering if we should look at both teams being independent of each other (i.e. no minor league system) - opinions?

I am in, although I don't know if I will be able to game plan, etc.

I have 3 guys:

B. Hammer - Czars
C. Jones - Czars
C. Kidd - suck-ass HB for the Knights

I think a merger would be an alright idea. I'm not sure which way would be the best though.

I'm kind of attached to all four of my guys, but I realize that only one is a viable starter with a merge so I wouldn't really have too much issue with retiring one...I guess...

When I say "merger" I may have spoke too soon...it would take half the players retiring to make it viable.

Right now its good that we have two teams...with retiring players it certainly opens up opportunity for the back-ups.

I am still active. All three of my players are sticking around. I have had a SP plan with them The next 15 points will are planned out and all three will be studs. I have build up secondary points on them and I am using the next batch of points on primary needs. Thunder will have over 80 for speed when next season starts.

My keepers.

At the same time, if any of my players do not fit into a role, do not feel the need to keep them on the roster. I do not mind finding them a new home if you don't like any of them.

Not say you don't, but I just wanted to put that out there.

I am also very excited about re-alignment since game planning will play a bigger role again, so being the Czars DC will be fun again. It got alittle boring for about 10 or so of the games since we had no chance or we knew we would kill the other team.

I'm also looking forward to re-alignment.

The Czars should be rolling in the dough to help out on equipment and with the Knights in the "A" league we should be a playoff contender as well.

That said - part of fun in this game is to keep things fresh...especially when positions open up like possibly in the Czars.

I don't blame pariah about not wanting to "invest" more dough into the players - I'm going back and forth with Matt Murdock and the Avatar.

I'de like to keep Stackwell and Sutcliffe. I believe they have optimal builds. ****** can go if need be. My new DE, who isn't in the picture yet, has a perfect build so far, MO of course :) If we do decide to merge, I'm sure I can find him a team elsewhere.

I think I want to play out the careers for my main two guys. Not sure how long that is though? 10 years?

I'm just rolling along, slow building my guy, but I'm probably never going to catch up to the level of Sergeant Rock. That being said, what should be done with me?

Is there a GLB Europe?

I want to make it clear, especially since I do have a lot of higher-level guys, that if it creates a hardship at all to retire anyone one--by all means keep them active. I'll keep training them and such. No problem.

I think that interest gets highest during the "dead zone" of sports, where there's nothing, especially football, to watch. When we've got our "real" team to root for, this takes a back seat.

I'm attached to all my guys except Kl'rt. And that's because he's a skrull. Most of my other guys are backups, which is fine, because depth is king, but if someone else wants to be backup for a while, I get that.

En Sabah Nur & Victor Creed are both here to stay, and are fine on whichever team they fit best. My interest had been dropping until En Sabah started tearing it up... exciting to finally see some real production.

So far here is a list of this year's draft class:

You must be registered for see images attach

Lv. 15 Tropic Thunder (HB)

You must be registered for see images attach

Lv. 17 Rex Rawhead (DE)

Below is an updated list. Keep in mind we're looking at face value what the impact will be. I see opportunity in the czars in moving up players from the knights.

The list of possible (this is just a guess w/out thinking) promotions include:

  • Darth F. for Bull-In ChinaCabinet (demotion)
  • G6 for Flex Hammer (retire)
  • Run M. for Brick Whal (retire)
  • Shepherd German for Peter Rasputin (retire)
  • Eric Swann for Gunner (retire)
  • Plenty OfRange for Jimmy Howlett (retire)
  • Victor Creed for Ton-of Bricks (inactive)
  • Bane Knightfall for czar LB depth?
The Knights of course will need to restock the shelves...but that's just the problem in being a development team.

Sprspck - does dbqr8er have anyone he wants on the Knights?

Based on the list of possible promotions I've sat those who *may* move up so we can see how the Knights opperate without them.

Of course, Kidd will see more action than he ever wanted to, and we've got the fastest backup olineman at FB.

But it should be fun.

Same settings as last game, so we have some comparison.

Please no assigned plays fer the FB! ;)

BTW...I put in Moe Broadtrunk as LOLB during the 3.4 sets. We're gonna take big hits to our LB corp.
