Any way that Glendale can back out of this Pooper Bowl??

We are going to have wait till the first big dust storm to blow that New England stench away.

Red Hawk, how long have you been in Buckeye? I live in Sundance.

Absolutely. It would be something new. This is just a rehash of a game that New England already won when they didn't really care about winning.

New England didn't care about winning? That's ridiculous. They had their starters in and played their asses off. That was the final game to make it a perfect season, they sure as hell cared about winning.

I think that game meant a lot more for the Giants than it did New England. The Giants are going to be demolished in the Superbowl.

I felt bad because it means the Patriots have had possibly the biggest cake walk to the Superbowl. Their route should have been:

Steelers, Colts, Packers

I hope the Suns get that kind of luck some year.

True but with the way things are going this year we would get into the finals and lose to Boston.

It sucks that the NFL season is over already. Back in the good old days it actually concluded with a game I cared to watch. Oh well, only have to wait until next season to bother tuning in another NFL game again.

The Patriots played their starters the whole game in the last game of the season and were trying very hard to win, and they only won by 3. The Giants are definitely underdogs, and I don't like them, but it's too early to count them out.

Fiasco: do you hate both these teams?

I'm certain if you can find one player or coach you like on either team, you would have something to get you watching. For me, I was hoping the Pack would dethrone the Patriots, but even though early in this season I hated the Giants and only kinda liked the Patriots, I've found myself surprisingly won over by the plucky Giants. I still think the Giant receivers are soft with poor catching skills but Eli's toughness and smart play have won over a former hater. I like Coughlin's vast knowledge and hard work ethic. I like Strahan's amazing ability and fun personality. I like Gabril Wilson and Aaron Ross's physicality.

On the Patriots side, beholding Brady and his God-given talent is something I'm thankful for. Their tight ends and fullbacks and even Maroney are hard-hitting for a team that is known for its wideouts. I love the clutch defensive stonewalls and the crazy Samuel, Vrabel and Thomas big plays.

I am 55% on predictions but I've always thought Belichick is head and shoulders better than any other coach --I would've voted for McCarthy this year due to Spygate-- and my friends laughed at me when I indicated that the acquisitions in the offseason could lead to an undefeated season. Their first half dominance and their history in the playoffs had me convinced that they were gonna be in the Super Bowl and I never had a more than an inkling otherwise despite a brief entertainment of Pittsburgh. Though I saw no point in dreaming up the AFC squad, if someone had told me when the Cardinals were still in it that the Giants were gonna be in the Super Bowl, I would've giggled then been repulsed at the unwatchability of the match-up but the way they've been playing recently including against the Patriots, I am psyched for the game.

Worst Super Bowl ever. I wish they could both lose, but I guess I have to take the lesser of two evils.

Go Giants.

Wow.. that hurt to say. I have to go bathe in alcohol now.. excuse me.

Their route shouldn't have included Pittsburgh. Getting Pittsburgh would have been a lucky break. Other than Indianapolis, Jacksonville was probably the toughest opponent New England could have played.

Great!

The Yankees and Red Sox in the SuperBowl. Its bad enough that TV thinks they're the only teams in Major League Baseball now we get in football as well.

eh i put a 20 spot on the Giants, mine as well i on yesterday i had the chargers with the points and the giants straight up. I make money either way, i did a future before the season started that the pats would win the SB.

I will only watch cuz i have money on it and get a free dinner. I cant stand the pats and I will prob get sick to my stomach if they win. If they win i cant even turn the radio on here for the next month.

I don't expect much, but I'm excited for this matchup to see how Eli is going to play. He's taken that next step since Week 17.

I also hope Randy gets more than two touches this game.

:yeahthat:

I'm tired of New England sports fans being happy. Celtics fans, Pats fans, Sox fans. Enough already.

I have hated the Giants all my life, but, geesh, I don't even think I can type it. Go, not New England!

What prompts this assumption? Prior to the previous match-up between the Giants and New England the discussion was whether the Giants would rest starters because win or lose their playoff position was already fixed.

The Giants had less motivating factors for that game than the Patriots did, who were wanting to assure their undefeated season. In fact, without the motivation of going undefeated for the season I doubt if the Patriots would have come back late in that game to pull out the win.

I do, regretably, think that the Patriots will win the Super Bowl over the Giants.
