The San Francisco Giants have reinstated right-hander Matt Cain from the 15-day disabled list to start Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, and placed first baseman Brandon Belt on the 15-day DL. Belt, who led the club with nine home runs entering Saturday, broke his left thumb Friday night when he was hit with a pitch by Paul Maholm. He is expected to be out for at least six weeks, and is back in San Francisco to see a hand specialist. Catcher Buster Posey started at first base Saturday against Zack Greinke, but manager Bruce Bochy said that left fielder Michael Morse will get the bulk of the playing time at first because of his experience there.
