It’s time to start preparing for the 2026 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 3 of the Fran Brown Era.

Name: Zamondre Merriweather
Position: Wide Receiver
Year: Redshirt Junior
Height: 6’ 3”
Weight: 210 lbs.
Hometown: Valencia, CA
High School/College: Valencia/Boise State/Glendale CC
2025 stats:
At Glendale last season, Merriweather caught 59 passes for 961 yards and 15 touchdowns
2026 projections:
Merriweather didn’t see the field at Boise St, but last season he showed a lot of production. He’s more experienced than the other transfers and with the Orange replacing a lot of receivers, he’ll get an opportunity to grab a spot on the outside.
How’d he get here?:
Picked Syracuse over offers from Arizona State, Nevada, Sacramento State, and Troy.
What’d recruiting sites say?:
Rated three stars as a JUCO transfer and considered a top 20 player by On3 and ESPN.
