FOXBOROUGH, MA – Jonathan Tah was on the verge of being a hero in Germany.

Instead, Paraguay breathes the deepest sigh of relief – for now.

A VAR review of Tah’s go-ahead goal in the 101st minute of the World Cup match determined Waldemar Anton fouled Paraguay keeper Orlando Gil as a corner kick flew through the box. The foul negated the goal and the match remained tied at 1.
