Germany's 2010 and 2014 Olympic luge champion Felix Loch is not going to rush a decision about his future after finishing sixth in the singles at the Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The overall World Cup leader has a clear goal for the rest of the season, but the 36-year-old has much to ponder beyond that after being outshone by compatriot and gold medallist Max Langenhan.
"We look at it year by year ... everything has to fit together. And I have to see whether I can keep up at the front," Loch told reporters.
Asked about the 2030 Olympic track in La Plagne, the three-time Olympic champion said: "We were often there for equipment tests. Especially late in the season. Let's see whether we will conquer it in four years' time. I am just keeping that open," he stressed, adding it will be "a gut decision."
He also sees himself as a future coach.
