The Georgia Bulldogs earned a visit from one of the top edge rushers from the class of 2027. Five-star Virginia-native Chris Whitehead went on an official visit with Georgia on March 28, according to Benjamin Wolk.

Whitehead is a 6-foot-4, 230-pound edge rusher from Chesterfield, Virginia. The prospect from Lloyd C. Bird High School is ranked as the No. 5 edge rusher and No. 32 prospect in the nation.

According to On3's visit counter, he's been on official visits with Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia Tech. The Penn State Nittany Lions lead every team in total visits, with four from Whitehead.

Georgia is entering a key stretch in recruiting season early after landing five-star running back Kemon Spell, who decommitted from Penn State. New outside linebackers coach Larry Knight is trying to start his tenure off strong with a major recruiting win. The Bulldogs have the No. 8 recruiting class in the nation, but they haven't landed an edge rusher.
