The SEC has crowned a new baseball regular season champion. The Georgia Bulldogs' win over the LSU Tigers on Saturday clinched Georgia an SEC championship and the No. 1 seed in the SEC Tournament.

Georgia along with three other SEC teams will have coveted double byes in the SEC Tournament. After Georgia, Texas and Texas A&M have a half-game lead over Auburn and Alabama, who are all battling for a top-four spot in the conference. Mississippi State, Florida and Arkansas are all 1 1/2-games back from Texas and Texas A&M, so they aren't totally out of contention for a top-four seed either.

Over the weekend, Tennessee earned a big 2-1 home series win over Texas. Alabama swept South Carolina on the road to boost their SEC Tournament path. Missouri got a rare SEC series win over Vanderbilt. Arkansas won two games at home over Oklahoma, but Oklahoma avoided the sweep with a 15-10 win in Game 3.

Texas A&M salvaged a game in their road series at Ole Miss, but along with Texas, they miss out on their chance to win the SEC. Auburn earned a big road series win at Mississippi State with a convincing 13-2 win on Saturday. Florida won a decisive Game 3 over Kentucky to win the series 2-1.

The top eight teams in the SEC all get first-round byes with the top four seeds getting byes in the second-round. The upcoming weekend is the final regular season series for all SEC teams with several teams jockeying for paths in the SEC Tournament and trying to boost their odds to make the NCAA Tournament. The SEC Baseball Tournament will be played in Hoover, Alabama, from May 19-24.
