Gasperini to meet with Friedkin to discuss new sporting director

This weekend, the Roma of the future will be built.

The Friedkins will return to the capital and meet with Gian Piero Gasperini: the first topic will be choosing a sporting director to strengthen the team.

Massara continues to work behind the scenes, especially on his departure by June 30th, but the casting process for his replacement has already begun. The owners want someone who knows Italian football.

Roma continues its search for a sporting director, despite Massara not yet being officially removed from the capital. Friedkin and Gasperini will review the situation in the coming days regarding the person who will replace the current sporting director.

The coach has made clear the importance of this role.

The incoming sporting director will have to work closely with him.

As Corriere dello Sport reports, there are some important names on the table: D’Amico, Sogliano, Manna, and even Udinese’s Nanni – all of whom know Serie A well and have made significant progress in recent years.

Gasperini will soon also discover the budget available, regardless of the transfers due to Financial Fair Play. This is far from a minor detail. Next season’s Roma is about to take shape.
