Gareth Bale expects to stay at Real Madrid for the remaining two years of his contract, with a loan to play regular football elsewhere ruled out by his agent. Zinedine Zidane omitted Bale completely from his matchday squad for the final game of the season in La Liga, after leaving him on the bench in the previous six fixtures. However, Bale is determined to stay with the Spanish champions, who blocked the Wales forward’s move to Jiangsu Suning in China last summer. "Gareth is one of the best players in the world. The best players in the world do not go out on loan," said Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett. Zidane put his own future in question over the weekend when he refused to discuss his plans for next season. And Bale, 31, is planning to be in Madrid fighting for his place in Real’s team, regardless of the manager. The Welshman has come under scrutiny for his actions while on the bench since football’s resumption, but Barnett insists his client’s future is with his current club.
