Notre Dame-West Haven's Abdou Toure (23) puts up a show in front of West Haven's Jordan Sirabionian (14) during their match up Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Notre Dame-West Haven High School. (Jim Shannon/Hearst Connecticut Media)
The final week of the regular season was a quiet one for the top 10 boys basketball teams in the GametimeCT poll.
Ellington was the only one team in the top 10 to lose last week: the Knights saw their 46-game winning streak come to an end at Old Lyme. Still, Ellington dropped four spots, going from tied for sixth to 10th. Old Lyme finished 12 points behind in 11th place. Ellington will be the top seed in the NCCC tournament.
Due to Ellington's loss, Woodland, one of two remaining undefeated teams, moved up one spot to No. 7. Northwest Catholic also moved up one spot to No. 8, as did East Hartford to No. 9.
The top five teams remained the same: Notre Dame-West Haven, Staples, the other undefeated team, Notre Dame Prep, Windsor and East Catholic. West Haven is now in solo sixth place heading into the SCC tournament.
