No. 3 seed Notre Dame took care of business Friday afternoon with a 106-54 decision over 14-seed Stephen F. Austin in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Purcell Pavilion.

The Irish (27-5) advance to play No. 6-seed Michigan (23-10), an 80-74 win over Iowa State, in the early game on Friday afternoon. The Irish will meet the Wolverines at 1 p.m. Sunday (ABC) with the game being nationally broadcast on ABC. The winner advances to a Sweet Sixteen game in Birmingham, Ala., March 28 or 29th.

All-American's Hannah Hidalgo and Sonia Citron led the Irish Friday with 24 points apiece. Maddy Westbeld added 12 while Liatu King scored 10. Liza Karlen came off the bench to record a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
