Runners on 2B & 3B with 1 out in the bottom of the 3rd.

A groundout makes it 4-2 D-backs. Runner left stranded on 3B.

Solo Miami HR in the top of the 4th. D-backs lead down to 1.

Christian Walker's 26th HR of the season give the Dbacks a 5-3 lead

Hey, Jon. It's been pretty sparse around here lately.

I guess the guys are waiting for the Suns season to
begin. So am I! Hope is a wonderful feeling! :D

A Marlins double, turned into a triple with an error in RF,
followed by a single makes it a 5-4 game in the 8th.

Now runners on 1B & 2B with 2 outs. Archie, who was
injured the past two games, coming in, probably to
finish the 8th and, on a double switch, pitch the 9th.

Archie, your usual two hits per inning would not be
good with 2 runners on. :)

Archie gets a foul popup to end the top of the 8th.

Rojas & Lamb are the only starters without a hit.
On his last at-bat, Lamb was pinch hit for. His
average is back down under .200.

Moved up again in the order, Avila is 2-for-4 so
far with a double. Again, I hope the catcher is
not dropped back to 8th, as has been the case.

And we go to the top of the 9th with a 1-run lead.

BTW, today was Roberto Clemente Day in every
Major League park. Did you know that he was
originally signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers?

What an outfield that would have been with
Duke Snider and Carl Furillo. But Clemente
never played a game with the Dodgers.

The D-backs hold on for a 5-4 (and series)
win vs. the Marlins.

Tomorrow is an off-day. Then a weekend
series in San Diego, with start times of
7:00, 5:30 and 1:00.

Followed by Mon/Tue/Wed vs. St. Louis
and the season finale Fri/Sat/Sun vs.
San Diego next week, both at home.
