Class of 2027 Nebraska football quarterback commit Trae Taylor is working hard to peer recruit fellow offensive players for the class. On Sunday, he posted a picture with wide receiver Jamier Brown on social media.

Brown is currently committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he is the third-best player in the 2027 class and the top player in Ohio.

Brown is one of the most decorated players in the entire 2027 recruiting class. He was a MaxPreps Sophomore All-American in 2024, after recording 63 catches for 1,035 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also proved his worth as a running back, carrying the ball 13 times for 167 yards and a touchdown.

His recruitment has been steady, and he was most recently offered by the Oregon Ducks on February 28.

Following Taylor's commitment, the Huskers' 2027 recruiting class experienced significant movement. According to the 247Sports Team Rankings, the class currently ranks ninth overall in the country.

Having Taylor commit this early could give the quarterback time to recruit players and build this class. Landing a wide receiver like Brown would give the Huskers one of the top passing attacks in the conference.

There is still a lot of time between now and 2027 Signing Day, but it’s clear that Taylor is trying to recruit the best players possible into this class.
