The FSU Seminoles are looking to fill out their depth on the defensive line for the upcoming season. They're in the mix for Texas State defensive lineman Devarrick Woods, who recently visited, but they have another target as well.
This particular player comes from the junior college ranks, and it's Malachi Brown out of Monterey Peninsula College in California. According to Matt LaSerre of Warchant, Brown is set to arrive in Tallahassee on Wednesday night for a visit.
As a sophomore in 2025, Brown played in nine games and put forth some good production. He ended up with 36 tackles and seven tackles for loss.
Brown has visited several Big 12 schools already, such as the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas State Wildcats, and Colorado Buffaloes. In addition to Florida State, Brown plans to visit the West Virginia Mountaineers as well.
As far as a timeline for his decision, the 6-foot-5, 300-pounder wants to do so before his graduation on May 22.
