After beginning its road trip with a win over Stetson on Tuesday, No. 7 Florida State baseball (22-6, 7-2 ACC) is in Charlottesville for a three-game series against No. 10 Virginia (23-7, 7-5 ACC) at Davenport Field at Disharoon Park from April 2-4.

Per UVA Sports Info, it marks the first Top 10 series hosted at Disharoon Park since D1Baseball launched its weekly poll in 2015 and the first overall Top 10 weekend since No. 7 UVA swept No. 5 FSU in April 2013, when Baseball America had both teams in the Top 10

Florida State enters the weekend having won three consecutive series (sweeping Wake Forest and taking series from NC State and Duke) in conference play. Per FSU Sports Info, Florida State is off to a 7-2 start or better in the ACC in back-to-back years for the first time since a five-year stretch from 2012-16.

Virginia enters the weekend with two ranked series wins under its belt already, having beaten then-No. 8 UNC and No. 24 Wake Forest over the last month, though are coming off a series loss at Boston College. The Cavaliers rank ninth nationally in runs per game at 9.6 and have hit 50 home runs through 30 games, ranking 16th in the country. The Cavaliers are in their first year under new head coach Chris Pollard, an intraconference hire who previously spent 13 seasons at Duke.

The top of UVA’s order is the primary threat. Leadoff hitter Eric Becker is batting .345 with five home runs. No. 2 hitter AJ Gracia is slashing .352 with nine home runs, and No. 3 Sam Harris checks in at .370 with 10 home runs. Harris homered twice in the Cavaliers’ run-rule win over Old Dominion on Tuesday, and Gracia hit a grand slam, with the three combining to go 10-for-14 with 10 RBI in that game. Gracia and Harris are among the transfers who followed head coach Chris Pollard from Duke after the 2025 season.

Florida State holds a 62-34 all-time series advantage, including 20-16 on the road. The last meeting between the programs was a 7-3 FSU win in the 2024 College World Series.
