The Florida State Seminoles signed an excellent 2026 recruiting class under head coach Luke Loucks, and they are looking to do even better in the 2027 cycle. They received some good news on Sunday, with four-star small forward Carson Crawford naming them one of the final five schools in his recruitment.
The Seminoles are battling the Arizona State Sun Devils, Ole Miss Rebels, Syracuse Orange, and Providence Friars for Crawford, who is from Fleming Island, Florida. The 6-foot-6, 180-pounder is a top 50 prospect in the country.
FSU, which is focusing its recruiting efforts on the state of Florida, offered him a scholarship on June 14, 2025, becoming the fourth program to do so. That early offer, plus their continued efforts, have impressed Crawford, who visited Tallahassee on Oct. 4, 2025, for an unofficial visit.
“One of the first schools to offer me, great relationships, very persistent on recruiting which I love," he explained.
Crawford is ranked as the No. 45 overall player and No. 10 small forward in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 9 player from Florida.
The Seminoles do not currently have a commitment in the 2027 recruiting cycle. They signed six high school prospects last season, giving them the No. 16 overall recruiting class in the country.
