I’m trying to remember to do this weekly.
All I want to talk about today is injuries, because I’ve injured myself and it is pissing me off. I’ve had plantar fasciitis in my foot for the last couple of weeks. Yesterday it was pretty much better but, playing tennis someone hit a ball wide and I stood on the bottom of the screens that separate the courts and my foot hurt. A lot. I thought that I’d restarted the plantar fasciitis. Limped through the rest of the tennis and came home and pretty much sat in front of the TV the rest of the day.
But, this morning, it feels different than PF, it feels like I’ve done something to it. So I’m grumpy and not just about how the Jays are playing. I have an appointment this afternoon to get it looked at.
And I’m taking a couple of days off next week, going up to Banff for a couple of days of bike riding. I’m doing the MS Bike Ride in about a month (raised $2330 so far, my goal is $3000), and I have to get into biking shape quickly. Two days of biking in the mountains will either do that or kill me.
So use the thread to whine about injuries, or getting into shape or the Blue Jays if you like, or anything else that crosses your mind.
