TYLER, Texas (KETK) – The 13th annual Fresh 15K went off without a hitch in Tyler on Saturday, ahead of storms that threatened to effect the race.
Organizers monitor weather ahead of Fresh 15K race day
“Some people think 13 is a lucky number. It’s been a challenging year for us but you know what God got us here this morning,” Fresh 15K race day director Ashleigh Endicott said. “It took a lot of prayer and a just huge effort from our community, all the way around, for us to get here. This is a testament that God loves the Fresh 15K.”
Race officials did cancel the awards show for Saturday’s Fresh 15K, the 5K and the Kids’ 1K so runners could head home before any rain moved through the area.
