On Tuesday, Norwegian biathlete Sturla Holm Lægreid chose to celebrate his 2026 Winter Olympics bronze medal in the 20km biathlon by ... confessing he cheated on his girlfriend. On Wednesday, another biathlete, French competitor Julia Simon, won gold in the 15km individual biathlon race, and it was revealed that she had ... once stolen a credit card from one of her teammates.

WHAT??? I'm sorry, but I'm calling for a moratorium on all biathletes acting like normal human beings until we can figure out what's going on.

Last October, Simon was found guilty of credit card fraud after using the bank card of France teammate Justine Braisaz-Bouchet. With the card, Simon had spent more than €2,000 ($2,300 USD) in online purchases and was given a three-month suspended sentence and fined €15,000 ($17,781.60 USD) by a French court. She admitted to the crime during her trial and apologized for her actions.

Simon was still allowed to compete in Italy after getting suspended by the French ski federation for five months. Simon has now won two gold medals in Milan-Cortina, having also captured gold in the mixed relay.
