context: every media member close to (and employed by) the Cardinals have been telling us that Dansby will not be back.
they have also been telling us the Rolle could very well not be back.
they have also established that they will sit on the sidelines the first couple weeks of free agency, and will not publicly announce who is coming for a visit. They also have established that players will visit, and leave, without being signed -- that usually takes place a week or so later.
Nevertheless, I predict the following:
on the afternoon of the first day of free agency (dominated by the news that the Redskins have signed Julius Peppers), there will be a thread lamenting the fact that the Cardinals have done nothing, they have no visits planned, and that Graves is an idiot.
on the day Dansby signs somewhere for a silly contract (day 3 I predict), we will have a thread predicting 4-12. News that Rolle is in intense discussions with team X will only fan the flames, with predictions of the return of the same old Cardinals. Said thread will include threats never to be a fan of the team anymore.
It just happens every year.
Finally -- on a longer term basis-- I predict that even with Dansby and Rolle leaving -- the Cardinals D will statistically rank in points allowed within 2 spots of where they ended 2009.
