Freddie Cant Block Jones

When is this team gonna learn that Freddie Jones cannot block a DE. It happens everygame in key situations. I say down with him. Put in Edwards

Great point. When we signed Jones it was because he was a good receiving TE. Now we're asking him to block Julius Peppers with no help?

From what I saw on tape last week, it doesn't really matter. Freddie gets decent position and locks up but can't/won't hold the block, regardless of who it is. TE's have to be able to handle a DE on occasion in the NFL. There's usually not too much of a size difference.

Personally - to me the above question is the most distubring thing of all the decisions Denny continues to make this season. I've been behind whatever he;s wanted to do at QB and the O-linebecause I don't think he really has naything to work with there - but there's got to be a way that we can block opposing teams pass rushing specialist with more than Freddie Jones one on one - I mean I know our O-line sucks - but there are still five of them out there.
