Franklin Christian Academy coach KC Jorgensen has resigned after one TSSAA football season, the school announced Feb. 11.
Jorgensen ushered FCA, his alma mater, into its first TSSAA season this past fall after serving as offensive coordinator for five seasons under former coach Tim Johnson.
The Falcons went 6-4 and lost to Trinity Christian in the Division II-A playoffs first round.
“As an alumnus who once had the privilege of wearing the Falcon navy, white, and gray, FCA has been deeply woven into my life," Jorgensen said in a statement. "This school gave me the opportunity to live out lifelong dreams — playing college football and serving as a high school football coach."

Jorgensen will finish the year as FCA’s athletic director before leaving the school.
“Coach Jorgensen’s impact will be lasting at FCA and immediately felt wherever he lands professionally,” FCA associate athletic director Darrin Joines said. “Season one in the TSSAA era for FCA Football was nothing short of inspiring with Coach Jorgensen leading the way. Qualifying for the (playoffs) was beyond what even the most optimistic person could have expected. His leadership as athletic director has also been impactful, pushing for and leading the school into the TSSAA era. FCA Athletics is positioned for future success because of his vision. We wish him nothing but the best.”
