Detroit — It took the Detroit Pistons some time to find their rhythm, but by the middle of the fourth quarter, they finally played at their best. After trailing the Minnesota Timberwolves 89-85 with 8:18 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Pistons went on an 11-0 run.

Although the Timberwolves kept things interesting throughout the rest of the quarter, the run the Pistons embarked on was enough for Detroit to take a 113-108 win on Thursday night inside Little Caesars Arena. They improved to 56-21 overall.

Jalen Duren recorded his 41st double-double of the season with 22 points and 14 rebounds, to go along with two blocks. Daniss Jenkins led the Pistons with 26 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Duncan Robinson added 15 points on 3 of 7 shooting from behind the arc.

Ausar Thompson, who won his second Defensive Player of the Month award this season, finished with nine assists, nine rebounds and seven points.

Amid Anthony Edwards' surprising absence due to a knee injury, Julius Randle led Minnesota with 27 points on 9 of 15 shooting, seven assists, and six rebounds. Naz Reid added 19 points off the bench.
