CUMBERLAND — Trailing 36-30 heading to the fourth, Fort Hill's comeback attempt fell short in a 52-39 home loss to University on Tuesday.
The Sentinels (14-5) led 11-7 after one before the Hawks (13-4) evened the halftime score at 19 and took the lead after three.
Eli Karpinski led both teams with 18 points while KK Lewis scored 12 for University.
Jameson Powell-Morris scored 12 of Fort Hill's 20 points in the second half and finished with a team-high 17.
Liam Hamilton, who averages 14.4 points per game for the Sentinels, was held scoreless after leaving the game in the second quarter with an injury.
Fort Hill hosts Keyser on Wednesday, followed by No. 2 Southern (13-7) on Friday at 7 p.m.
No. 5 Keyser 71, No. 4 Petersburg 51
PETERSBURG, W.Va. — Braylon McGreevy dropped a season-high 33 points, leading Keyser to a 20-point road win at Petersburg on Tuesday.
McGreevy became the first player to surpass 30 for the Golden Tornado (10-9) this season.
He scored 21 in the second half and recorded a double-double of 11 rebounds, two assists and a block.
Trey Dawson scored nine of his 11 points in the third quarter while Lane Champion scored eight of his 10 points in the first.
Dawson added eight boards and two assists while Champion also grabbed eight rebounds.
Caden Ours led the Vikings (13-5) with 21 points including 12 in the first half. Payton Metheny and Kaleb Kuhn each scored 12.
Keyser led 18-8, 27-24 and 52-41 through three quarters.
Both teams are at home on Friday. The Vikings host Moorefield (6-10) at 7:15 p.m. while the Golden Tornado face Mountain Ridge (9-9) at 7:30 p.m.
Paw Paw 77, Harman 57
HARMAN, W.Va. — Taylor Carder and Braylen Paul combined for 52 points, leading Paw Paw over Harman on Tuesday.
Carder scored 13 of the Pirates' 17 points in the second quarter and finished with 30 while Paul scored 16 of 22 points after halftime and hit four triples.
Nathan Dick finished with 11 points for Paw Paw (8-10).
Grady Shifflett scored 19 of his game-high 31 for the Panthers in the second half.
Gunnar Ketterman scored 12 of 19 points in the second half for Harman.
Paw Paw led 18-12, 35-20 and 53-41 through three frames.
The Pirates host Bishop Walsh (4-18) on Wednesday, followed by a trip to Tygarts Valley on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
Lighthouse 53, Wakefield Country 49
Lighthouse Christian won a thriller over Wakefield Country Day School Tuesday behind double-figure performances by Ryan Smith and Aaron Carpenter.
Lighthouse trailed 11-10 after the first quarter before taking 25-18 and 40-31 advantages into halftime and the third quarter, respectively.
Smith led the Seahawks with 13 points, Carpenter added 11, and Carter Philips scored nine.
Wakefield's Jacob Diomenico garnered a game-high 24 points, and Sean Han finished with 14.
