Former Wisconsin offensive tackle Rob Havenstein announced his retirement from the NFL on Tuesday.

The Frederick, Maryland, native played for the Badgers from 2010-14. He appeared in a program-high 54 games in that time, starting 42, the majority of which at right tackle. He capped off his collegiate career with first-team All-America and first-team All-Big Ten honors as a senior in 2014.

The then-St. Louis Rams selected the standout tackle in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft. Havenstein played and started in 148 games during his ensuing 11 years with the franchise, helping lead it to a Super Bowl title during the 2021 campaign.

"Eleven years, 150+ starts, 4-time captain, 4 NFC West Championships, 2 NFC Championships and 1x Super Bowl Champion. What a ride it's been!" Havenstein began. "I can look back on my career and smile knowing I have given everything I had and more to the game I love. In saying that, I am officially retiring from the NFL. Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, and fans who have supported me and helped me over these past 11 years...As this chapter ends, I couldn't be more grateful, hopeful, and excited to see what comes next!"
