As the Cleveland Browns wind down minicamp, it's hard not to declare former Washington Huskies star Denzel Boston one of the biggest winners of the team's offseason workouts.

After the organization selected him in the second round with the No. 39 overall pick, the 6-foot-4, 215-pound wide receiver has continued to showcase the skill set that made him a dominant pass catcher over his two years as a starter in Jedd Fisch's offense.

While mainly working with the second team offense as he learns offensive coordinator Travis Switzer's system, Boston has shown off his ability to high-point the football and contort his body mid-air to adjust to off-target throws, skills that could quickly make him one of Cleveland's premier threats in the red zone.

"It comes when the DB is playing you tight, and you’ve got to swipe by with some type of hand-to-hand combat," Boston told FOX Sports' Eric Williams. "Or, you’ve got to shut him off to get that over-the-shoulder ball. I also think understanding your skill set is a big thing as well. I’m not a 5-11 receiver. I’m not going to move like one, either. So, it’s understanding that I have my dominant traits, and I need to use those dominant traits to empower myself on the field."

That physicality is also a perfect complement for one of Cleveland's two first-round picks, former Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion. As the Browns look to give either Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders a more complete cast of receivers, the pair looks ready to make an early impact.

"I think the rookies have done a good job," wide receivers coach Christian Jones said of the pair. "It's really about understanding the concepts, understanding the plays, and really just learning the plays. After that, they're able to play fast. Once you get them to understand the plays and how to do things the right way, it's their time to shine."

"Denzel came in here wanting to show everyone what he can do. He was really upset about where the draft landed. They've come out and done a really good job, I'm proud of them."
