Four former Vols began the week in MLB: Jordan Beck (Colorado), Chase Dollander (Colorado), Garrett Crochet (Boston) and Seth Halvorsen (Colorado).
Trey Lipscomb rejoined Washington on May 13 after Nationals' second baseman Luis Garcia Jr. was placed on the paternity list. Garcia Jr. returned to the Nationals May 16, and Lipscomb was subsequently optioned to Triple-A Rochester without appearing in a game for Washington.
Pitcher Ben Joyce's 2025 season ended May 14 after undergoing shoulder surgery with the Angels.
Below are performances from former Vols during Week 8 of the 2025 MLB season.
Beck’s only hit at Texas on May 13 was a single to center field, and he scored the Rockies’ lone run.
On May 17 in a, 14-12, win at Arizona, he hit a triple and two home runs, totaling four runs and three RBIs. Beck finished Week 8 with a double to left field in the sixth inning against the Diamondbacks on Sunday.
