We like to keep up on former Minnesota Vikings here on Vikings Wire. We touch base on Kirk Cousins an awful lot, something we are sure everyone unanimously loves, but we also keep up on some other notable Vikings. The one we wanted to touch base on today was former wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who has made a new headline in an offseason full of them.
The veteran receiver showed in 2025 that he can be an effective part of an offense, the way he was in New England with the Patriots. He racked up 85 receptions and 1,013 yards receiving while finding the endzone four times. Those numbers have Diggs believing that, despite being unsigned, he is still in the top tier in the NFL.
Diggs spoke recently and declared he was better than any other WR2 in the league. He said, "My opinion, I can compete with anybody, but take those [top wide receivers] as your 1s, right? You can't name a No. 2 better than me."
Coming off his seventh 1,000-yard season in his career, but the issues and inconsistencies have piled up. Looking at the Vikings' WR2 in Jordan Addison, he is someone who can be a WR1 in a lot of other places that don't have Justin Jefferson ahead of them. So, needless to say, perhaps he isn't better than Addison right now, but you have to appreciate the confidence.
