It’s only a two‑game sample size, but Texas A&M fans, and now Chicago White Sox fans, are seeing exactly what they expected from Braden Montgomery. After a historic debut, the former Aggie followed it up with another strong performance that suggests he may have real staying power at the major‑league level.

Just one night after becoming only the fifth player in MLB history to hit a walk‑off home run in his debut, a little bit of Olsen Magic seemed to travel with him to Guaranteed Rate Field. Baseball is a sport built on highs and lows, and the real test for any young player is how they respond after the emotional surge of a moment like that. A letdown would’ve been understandable.

Montgomery didn’t allow it.

Instead, he delivered again, going 2‑for‑4 with two doubles and scoring the first run of the game. Through his first nine major‑league at‑bats, he has four hits, a home run, three RBI, and is slashing .444 with a 1.444 OPS. It’s early, but the production matches the hype. For weeks, fans had been calling for the White Sox to promote him. Two games in, they look completely vindicated.

Below, you can watch Montgomery break down his debut on the Waddle & Silvy Show.
