Jamie Arnold’s first full professional season will include a stop on one of baseball’s biggest prospect stages. The former Florida State left-hander was selected for the 2026 MLB All-Star Futures Game, giving the Athletics prospect a chance to pitch alongside many of the top rising players in the minor leagues during MLB All-Star Week.
Arnold was one of the most accomplished pitchers in college baseball during his time in Tallahassee, developing into a first-round MLB Draft pick before beginning his professional career. His selection for the Futures Game reflects how quickly his stock has carried over from Florida State to the minor leagues.

Arnold's rise comes as little surprise to Florida State fans. During his three seasons in Tallahassee, the left-hander developed into one of the nation's most dominant pitchers. In 2025, he earned consensus First-Team All-American honors after posting one of the best seasons by a Seminole pitcher in recent memory, cementing his status as a top MLB Draft prospect. He finished the year with a 2.98 ERA in 84.2 innings, striking out 119 batters.
That success has translated quickly to the professional ranks. Arnold has spent the 2026 season climbing the Athletics' farm system while solidifying his status as one of the organization's cornerstone prospects. His selection to the Futures Game places him among an elite group of young players viewed as potential future major leaguers.
Florida State has produced plenty of professional talent over the years, and Arnold’s rapid climb offers another reminder of the program’s pitching pedigree. After dominating at Dick Howser Stadium, he will now get a chance to represent his organization and his former college program on a national stage.
