The Detroit Tigers will have representation in the All-Star Futures Game.
MLB released the rosters for the All-Star Futures Game on Wednesday, July 1, with one Tigers minor leaguer making the team – catcher Thayron Liranzo, the team's No. 5 prospect per MLB Pipeline.
Liranzo, who was acquired along with shortstop Trey Sweeney in the 2024 trade that sent starter Jack Flaherty to the Los Angeles Dodgers, has slashed .234/.358/.440 in 44 games for Double-A Erie and six games for Low-A Lakeland in 2026.
The Tigers sent three prospects to the 2025 All-Star Futures Game: shortstop Kevin McGonigle, center fielder Max Clark and catcher/first baseman Josue Briceño. Clark remains the team's top prospect per MLB Pipeline, followed by shortstop Bryce Rainer, Briceño and infielder Max Anderson.
The 2024 game featured Clark and Tigers infielder Hao-Yu Lee.
The Futures Game will take place on Sunday, July 12, at noon ET at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
