Several Seattle Seahawks players have been receiving accolades in recent days. Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Devon Witherspoon were named to the "25 best players under 25" list. AJ Barner was named a potential breakout candidate by ESPN's Benjamin Solak.
Now, it's time for a former Seahawk to receive some praise. Super Bowl 60 MVP Kenneth Walker III was named to ESPN's top-10 running backs list, clocking in at No. 9 overall. It's a reminder that the Seahawks' offense is tasked with replacing Walker in 2026.
"The reigning Super Bowl MVP is the first since Dexter Jackson (2003) to win the award and change teams the next season," Jeremy Fowler wrote. "After two 1,000-yard seasons in Seattle, Walker is tasked with elevating the Chiefs' running attack. Walker appeared on nearly 60% of the ballots, with voters noting his combination of open-field vision and physicality elevating him."
The Seahawks are going to miss Walker, who signed a lucrative contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency after winning Super Bowl 60 with the Seahawks. New offensive coordinator Brian Fleury has first-round pick Jadarian Price, George Holani, and a recovering Zach Charbonnet in his backfield now. Walker is a top-10 NFL running back and will be missed in Seattle.
