Following a disappointing first-round defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2026 NBA playoffs, the Denver Nuggets have plenty of question marks heading into the summer. A contract extension for Peyton Watson will be at the forefront of those, as the Denver forward is set to be a restricted free agent.

Additionally, the Nuggets will have to weigh possible trades for every player on their roster not named Nikola Jokic. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, former NBA champion Aaron Gordon is garnering 'strong' trade interest around the league. Unfortunately for Denver, Gordon has had trouble staying healthy in recent seasons, making just 36 appearances last year. In those games, the former Magic forward averaged 16.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks. Gordon has three years and $103 million remaining on his current deal.
