The New York Mets have seen multiple players enjoying success with other teams since being with them in recent years, as the roster has taken some hits here and there. Some of those were the right decisions, as the Mets decided to go in different directions from other players, while others were just losing guys that most fans wanted back.

Somewhere in the middle of that is Jose Iglesias, an infielder who is still available on the free agent market. Iglesias is a decent player, but as all Mets fans know, his vibes are more memorable than the actual player he is at this stage of his career.

Christopher Kline of FanSided predicted that he still has a future in Major League Baseball, though, projecting him to sign with the Tampa Bay Rays.

“Tampa is all-in on the youth movement after trading Brandon Lowe, with 25-year-old Ben Williamson at second base and 22-year-old Carson Williams at shortstop. Neither has started the season strong. Aside from a historically volatile platoon bat in Richie Palacios, Tampa's middle infield depth is also lacking,” he wrote.

The Rays are one of those teams that just find a way to have guys play well when you don't expect them to. Iglesias might not be that type of player due to how old he is now and just not being great in general, but not many fans would be surprised if he went to Tampa Bay and found some level of success. He's a good guy and could help a young team like Tampa Bay.
