In comparison to other NBA stars, former Duke alum Jayson Tatum is non-controversial. However, due to his success and the polarizing teams he's played for during his career, he receives a lot of hate from NBA and college basketball fans.
In a recent hate map made by RotoWire, Tatum was surprisingly named the second-most hated NBA player in the country behind Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.
Tatum was named the most hated player in 13 states, including North Carolina, where he played his college basketball. But this isn't because of Tatum's antics on the court. The former 2024 NBA champion is rarely involved in scuffles and, for comparison, has amassed less than half of Green's career total in technical fouls. But, due to his time with the Blue Devils and Celtics in addition to his success on the biggest stages, many opposing fans have grown to dislike the six-time All-Star.
