Former Duke Basketball star Cooper Flagg had a lot of hype surrounding him before he even stepped foot on campus. He lived up to the hype at Duke, winning the National Player of the Year award.
After being selected No. 1 overall by the Dallas Mavericks, Flagg took home NBA Rookie of the Year honors, beating out former teammate Kon Knueppel. His season was fantastic, and not only does he have the attention of NBA fans but also of sports card and memorabilia collectors.
Flagg is quickly becoming one of the more sought-after athletes in the sports card collecting community. With the release of the 2026 Topps Chrome Update Basketball series, Flagg is one of the players everyone is going nuts over. That includes his own team.
The Dallas Mavericks have put a bounty on Flagg's one-of-one NBA Rookie Debut Patch Autograph card from the 2025-26 season. The card features the debut patch that Flagg wore on his jersey in his very first career game. It's a card that could fetch millions, and the Mavericks want it, putting out a bounty on it right away.
The Mavericks package includes two Mavericks season premium lower-level tickets for 32 years, a signed, game-worn Flagg rookie jersey, plus a postgame photo with the star and a trip to Boston to see Dallas take on the Celtics.
However, they aren't the only one with a bounty on the card.
Ken Goldin offered an intriguing bounty where he will offer a cash advance for $1.5 million and then Goldin will auction the card in an attempt to command an even higher price.
"We will give whoever pulls the Cooper Flagg debut patch $1.5 million as a cash advance," Goldin said. "We will then auction it for you and publicize the crap out of it."
With Flagg's success so far, this card will go down as one of the biggest in his career even as there are years still to go. There's a reason why therre are bounties on it.
So far, as of this publication on August 10th, the one-of-one card has yet to be pulled.
